Hello Bloggers! Now that Christmas is over, we are so looking forward to the New Year. So what a better way to get started by creating something that we can use the whole year thru. I created a Smash Journal using some Cute, Cute, Cute paper by Simple Stories "Year.O.Graphy" Collection. These papers were easy for this project because it came with the day's and months. The embellishment's that were used are things like: maya road envelopes, sheer tags, and paper bag. The binding that I used was jute cording, and I like how that it came out because it gives a more natural feel to this project. On the cover I used a Maya Road organza bloom, lace and, fabric chipboard numbers. And the in between pages are cream colored cardstock that I hand stamped with saying's to coordinate with the theme. Here's some pics to go thru.
We wish you a Safe and Happy New Year! Gracias for taking the time to stop by!
Hasta Pronto!

DAY 12 - ALTERED CONFIGURATION BOX
Hola Everyone! :) DAY 12!!!! Can you believe it? It went by so fast! First from Susi and myself...we want to thank everyone who has stopped by and showed us some bloggin love and a huge thank you to all of the Followers. Woot! Woot! Susi and I are super excited that our blog is coming along, thanks to all of you Crafty Chicas! :) We also wanted to wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will be coming back with some New Year projects soon, so we hope to see you there.
Ok...here's the last project...it's a Tim Holtz altered configuration box....It's altered as a scene from inside a gingerbread house. I loved every minute creating this look, my imagination was running wild on this one. It was really hard to try and figure out what does a gingerbread house look like in the inside...if we only get to see the outsides of these tasty treats...LOL. So in each of the boxes there is a "scene" that I made up...The top scene with the Gingerbread, is that he is walking thru a wintery wonderland trying to pick out his sugar cookie xmas tree...LOL...I know...just go with me on this one...LOL...On the top right....that scene is the Gingerbread's family room...He has all his favorite family pics up on his wall and likes to sit at his table with a cup of "gingerbread spiced" coffee and stare at them....LOL....The left bottom scene is...the Gingerbread's warm and cozy fireplace where the Gingerbread likes to sit on his lil green rug and dream of yummy sugary treats. And the last scene on the bottom right is the Gingerbread's cute lil kitchen. He sure does love to bake cookies and then invite his friends over for cookies and milk. LOL...ok...so since I just had to get that little story off my chest...LOL...I hope you all enjoyed the last project. Here are some pics for you all to see.

DAY 10 - CHARM SET
Hello Everyone! Day 10...two more days to go with our xmas projects! :) K, so let's get started with this project...it's a xmas charm set. I think it came out darling. I love how they jingle when they are moved about. Charm sets are simple to put together. And by clicking here>>>VIDEO<<< it will take you to my Youtube Channel where I did a vid on how to put a charm set together.
The best part of making these charm set's is looking for all the lil do-dad's to put on them. Especially the Xmas ones...I had a field day looking thru my stash for all these cute lil extras. Since I've seen vids on charm sets....I've been hooked ever since. :)
SUPPLIES:
Swivel Clasp (Tim Holtz product)
Jump Rings (Tim Holtz product)
Buttons
Charcter or Shaped Buttons
Jingle Bell
Metal Xmas Charm
Metal Tree Charm
Ribbon
Thanks for taking the time to stopping by. Adios for now.

Day 9- Santa's Pants: hot cocoa gift box
Let's stuff Santa's pants with hot cocoa and marshmallows! Jajaja! Aye, sorry Linda but I couldn't help it. It was an easy target. =) So I decided to make "Snowman's soup" into something unique. We know Santa love milk and cookies but I bet he loves hot cocoa too!
I used a hot cocoa box and cut it in half then reconstructed it. I covered the box with red card-stock, black card-stock for the belt and used a scrap square chipboard as the buckle. I used gold embossing powder to make his buckle gold...ooooh so chy-knee! I placed some fur on the bottom of his pants too. And there you go! Santa's hot pants!
What did I use?
Recollections red and black card-stock
scrap peice of chipboard
Gold embossing powder
Joann's whit fur (This is my emergency stash for when my nutcrackers lose their hair and/or facial hair...come to think of it I need black fur for my dark haired nutcrackers!)
I hope you guys enjoyed Santa's pants and thanks for stopping by!
