Happy Year of the DRAGON!

Hola Bloggers! Tomorrow is Chinese New Years celebrating the DRAGON. In honor of this holiday, Susi and I decided to make some cards for the occasion. My card is a chinese lantern, I made this off of the cricut using the Pagoda Cartridge. This was quick and easy to put together. I love the contrast off the white background, the image totally pops. I used Martha Stewart black glitter to highlight the layers for that image. With a 1" circle punch I wrote "Happy Year of the Dragon!" and adhered in the corner of the card. Here's a pic of this project. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Hasta Pronto!

Receta (recepie) for this card
A2 size card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Pattern Paper in red
Black Cardstock
MS Glitter
1" circle punch
Adhesive
From the Cricut "Pagoda" Cartridge:

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hello! So in celebration for the Chinese New Year Linda and I decided to make a little somethin' somethin'. =) I decided to make card dedicated to the year of the Dragon.  I found a perfect image online and from there I cut and paper pieced it together by hand. I made the body by folding it in 3 sections and used a stampn' up punch I got from a RAK; I cut the scallop circle in half and used them as the dragons scales. I used a translator I found in the internet to get the font in Chinese.  The other sections are for pictures or whatever you want to put on those empty spaces.  I'm so very proud of it and I adore mi little card. O.k so here are the pictures!

O.k, I hope you liked my dragon card! Thanks for stopping by!

Feliz Ano Nuevo!

Holla!

So I finally got done with my new year project! It's been a busy Holiday and I just now finished the mini! LOL! Aye, I'm such a procrastinator! For my project I decided to go with one of a Mexican New Years tradition...12 grapes 12 wishes.  What you are supposed to do eat 12 grapes and for each grape you make a wish.  It was a VERY fun project to work on and a very simple one that anyone can do; it doesn't have to be a grape shape but convert it into a traditional book.  I had a bigger plan but I'll be reserving that one for next year! O.K...so here is the mini. Oh, and excuse the empty journaling spots...kinda want to keep those wishes to myself. jeejeejee...I hope everyone had an amazing Ano Nuevo/New Years!

What did I use?

DCWV: Mi Casa paper stack (My leftoever from Linda's mini)
Tim Holtz D-ring (from a RAK)
Chipboard numbers (BigLots a long time ago)
Embroidery floss (my mom's stash)
Home-made flowers and ribbon (from my own stash)
Florish and stamped journal spots (from the Expo last year)
Stampendous:PEARLuster Jade embossing powder (Michaels)
Recycled chipboard for my grape shaped mini (My husband saved that chipboard from being thrown in the dumpter!)

Well, if you guys have any questions please ask away! Me no mind at all! LOL!
