Hello Bloggers! Now that Christmas is over, we are so looking forward to the New Year. So what a better way to get started by creating something that we can use the whole year thru. I created a Smash Journal using some Cute, Cute, Cute paper by Simple Stories "Year.O.Graphy" Collection. These papers were easy for this project because it came with the day's and months. The embellishment's that were used are things like: maya road envelopes, sheer tags, and paper bag. The binding that I used was jute cording, and I like how that it came out because it gives a more natural feel to this project. On the cover I used a Maya Road organza bloom, lace and, fabric chipboard numbers. And the in between pages are cream colored cardstock that I hand stamped with saying's to coordinate with the theme. Here's some pics to go thru.
We wish you a Safe and Happy New Year! Gracias for taking the time to stop by!
Hasta Pronto!

DAY 12 - ALTERED CONFIGURATION BOX
Hola Everyone! :) DAY 12!!!! Can you believe it? It went by so fast! First from Susi and myself...we want to thank everyone who has stopped by and showed us some bloggin love and a huge thank you to all of the Followers. Woot! Woot! Susi and I are super excited that our blog is coming along, thanks to all of you Crafty Chicas! :) We also wanted to wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will be coming back with some New Year projects soon, so we hope to see you there.
Ok...here's the last project...it's a Tim Holtz altered configuration box....It's altered as a scene from inside a gingerbread house. I loved every minute creating this look, my imagination was running wild on this one. It was really hard to try and figure out what does a gingerbread house look like in the inside...if we only get to see the outsides of these tasty treats...LOL. So in each of the boxes there is a "scene" that I made up...The top scene with the Gingerbread, is that he is walking thru a wintery wonderland trying to pick out his sugar cookie xmas tree...LOL...I know...just go with me on this one...LOL...On the top right....that scene is the Gingerbread's family room...He has all his favorite family pics up on his wall and likes to sit at his table with a cup of "gingerbread spiced" coffee and stare at them....LOL....The left bottom scene is...the Gingerbread's warm and cozy fireplace where the Gingerbread likes to sit on his lil green rug and dream of yummy sugary treats. And the last scene on the bottom right is the Gingerbread's cute lil kitchen. He sure does love to bake cookies and then invite his friends over for cookies and milk. LOL...ok...so since I just had to get that little story off my chest...LOL...I hope you all enjoyed the last project. Here are some pics for you all to see.
SUPPLIES:
Configuration Box (by Tim Holtz)
Pattern Paper (Merry Mint Collection by American Crafts)

Hello Everyone! Day 10...two more days to go with our xmas projects! :) K, so let's get started with this project...it's a xmas charm set. I think it came out darling. I love how they jingle when they are moved about. Charm sets are simple to put together. And by clicking here>>>VIDEO<<< it will take you to my Youtube Channel where I did a vid on how to put a charm set together.
The best part of making these charm set's is looking for all the lil do-dad's to put on them. Especially the Xmas ones...I had a field day looking thru my stash for all these cute lil extras. Since I've seen vids on charm sets....I've been hooked ever since. :)

Swivel Clasp (Tim Holtz product)

Day 9- Santa's Pants: hot cocoa gift box
Let's stuff Santa's pants with hot cocoa and marshmallows! Jajaja! Aye, sorry Linda but I couldn't help it. It was an easy target. =) So I decided to make "Snowman's soup" into something unique. We know Santa love milk and cookies but I bet he loves hot cocoa too!
I used a hot cocoa box and cut it in half then reconstructed it. I covered the box with red card-stock, black card-stock for the belt and used a scrap square chipboard as the buckle. I used gold embossing powder to make his buckle gold...ooooh so chy-knee! I placed some fur on the bottom of his pants too. And there you go! Santa's hot pants!
What did I use?
Recollections red and black card-stock
scrap peice of chipboard
Gold embossing powder
Joann's whit fur (This is my emergency stash for when my nutcrackers lose their hair and/or facial hair...come to think of it I need black fur for my dark haired nutcrackers!)
I hope you guys enjoyed Santa's pants and thanks for stopping by!

DAY 8 - XMAS TAGS WITH BOX
Today's project is a little box that hold's gift tags to put on your presents. I really love how they came out, and they were very easy to make. I used my Slice personal cutting system and, chose the image for the tag from the "Noteworthy" card. Then I made rosettes, using the Martha Stewart Scoring Board, punched out the Xmas trees from a punch. I used the small hole on my crop a dile and punched out a small hole on the top of the tag, and threaded colored twine thru the hole. I used a stamp from a Xmas Stampin Up set that I have, sorry it's an older set and I don't know the name of it, and stamped "to" & "from" on the back of tag.
For the box I used the MS scoring board's directions on the measurement's for the box. I decorated the front of the box with a cute cutout of a holly leaf, used foam letter stickers from Queen & Co. And added lil embellishments to complete it. These are going to look great on the xmas gifts! This would make a cute lil pre-gifting for co-workers or friends. Thanks for stopping by!

DAY 6 - PENGUIN CANDYBAR WRAP
Buenos Bloggers! Today is Day 6 and we have a cute little project to share with you; it's a Hershey Candybar Wrap....these are so much fun to put together and not only that...they are perfect for stocking stuffers. :) I've seen a lot of vids on Youtube on these, they are fast and easy to put together. I made mine a Penguin...and he came out very cute. Here's what I used to make this project:
SUPPLIES:
Hershey Candy Bar
Fleece
Needle
Embroidery Floss
Black Cardstock
White Cardstock
Orange Cardstock
Adhesive
Corner Rounder Punch
Small Circle Punch
Meduim Circle Punch
Start off by measuring the black cardstock to fit candy bar, mat white cardstock for penguin body. I used a corner rounder punch on his body from white cardstock. (Round all 4 corners) Punch out two small circles from black cardstock for the penguin's eye's. For the penguin's beak I had cut a triangle from orange cardstock, and punched one medium circle as well and then cut that circle in half for penguin's feet.
For the hat and scarf, I got the idea from "Pantala40" on Youtube, she shows a snowman candybar wrap and show's how to put the hat and scarf together. So check her out, she did a great tutorial. These look so adorable in the kid's stockings. Here's a pic of how my project came out. Enjoy! :)

DAY 4 - MINI EXPLODING BOX
Hola Bloggers! Time sure does go fast when you're having fun! Day 4? Wasn't yesterday Day 1??? lol Ok so today's project is this cute little Mini Exploding Box. This project should be labeled with a huge WARNING on it...Talk about getting addicted and wanting to make more and more and.....lol These cute little boxes are just adorable and hanging on a Christmas tree is even cuter. They measure 2x2. To make these little boxes I found a video from "Scrapyardchicks" on youtube. She has some great vids out there in YT land. Stop by and check them out. I did alter how to hang the box from her method, but the concept is still the same. I used American Crafts "Merry Mint" Paper Collection. That paper is adorable and I've been hoarding it for awhile now. LOL I've made some more for our tree and it's such a GREAT feeling watching the kids open these little boxes with smiles on their faces looking at our Christmas memories. If you have any questions on this project please feel free to leave a comment. I hope you all are having a Great time creating! See you all soon! :) Warm Hugs! Nano :D

Day 3 - Fabric Hair Band
Aye, day three already?! What the heck! Time is going by so so fast! K, enough of my babbling...let's get to the headband. This one kinda gave me a headache. I made the first one using a white poinsettia with a little red one and I was not happy with it so I TORE AND RIPPED IT APART! Very angrily too. =)~ The the second time around I used one of my fabric flowers that I had made and voila! A very purdy headband. I wub it!
What did I use?
headbands (Dollar Tree)
flower (leftover tourquise fabric from my skirt that I made for my table)
tulle and stranded pearls (my mom's stash)
bling (RAK)
feathers (Micheal's)
I forgot to mention I tried to use supplies that I already had for all my projects.

DAY 2 - Burlap Ornaments
Hello Followers! :) Here's Day 2 of our Christmas projects...Who couldn't resist these two sitting on their Christmas tree? This project went very quickly to put together. They measure 2 1/4 by 2 3/4. Here's a list of the supplies I used to create these two....
SUPPLIES:
Burlap
Ric Rac
Sewing Needle
Chalk
Stuffing
Strips of fabric
Flat Back Beads
Embroidery Floss
Glue Gun
Button (Optional)
Small Bell (Optional)
Start by cutting your burlap into a circle shape and cut two. Glue your two pieces together with the hot glue gun...making sure to leave an opening. Stuff your two pieces with stuffing to your liking, when done glue opening shut. I used white ric rac and glued in place for the gingerbread's outline. Take the two flat back beads ( I found these in the doll section at JoAnn's) and glue in place. By using a strip of fabric, I made a bow and hand sewed a small bell for the gingerbread boy's bowtie. For the girl, I used a button. So that these two lil cuties could hang on my tree, I finished them off by taking a piece of embroidery floss, with the sewing needle, I made a loop and tied a small knot. I had so much fun making these, and hope that you will give this a try. Merry Christmas Everyone! :)

12 Diaz de Navidad con Nano y Sushi: Day 1 Handmade Bracelet/Necklace
Hello there! It's me Sushi (Susi) and I'm first! Booyaa! Ok, so my first project is a handmade bracelet/necklace. My daughter's favorite color is blue so I decided to give this to her...I should have wrapped it and saved it for Christmas but I'm so inpatient! No bueno, no bueno. =)
